| About Me |
I am a graduate of Edinboro University of Pennsylvania.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts,
a minor in Psychology, as well as my teaching certification.
After having a wonderful experience teaching Visual Arts in North Carolina, I am
now currently located in New Jersey where I am producing my artwork.
During my studies at Edinboro, I concentrated on both wheel throwing and handbuilding.
Unlike most potters, I enjoy creating a variety of pottery from functional
all the way to sculptural. Over the course of my life I have developed my techniques and
style to one that is of my own. I have always enjoyed the enticing rhythm
of the potter’s wheel, as well as the freedom of creating something solely
from handbuilding techniques. My latest creations incorporate both
wheel throwing and handbuilding. As with all potters, my work has
gone through many stages, enabling me to become a versatile ceramist.
I am quiet fortunate to be able to do what I love so much. It is the challenging
process of creating objects from clay that drives me. To me, the process of
choosing the correct building techniques, glazes, and firing techniques
is as satisfying as the final result.
